Mastering the ranged combat in the game will be very important to your survival, whether you are using the bows, the Blastslings, Spike Throwers, and more. However, to make your time easier and to enable better aiming, Concentration Mode will help tremendously in two ways.

The first is that it slows down time, allowing for the perfect shot to be lined up. Secondly, it will zoom in further than usual, giving you more flexibility in aiming your shot. That could mean tearing down an important component, or landing that fatal headshot on the human enemies.

Using Concentration Mode & Slow Down Time in Horizon Forbidden West

  1. Hold down L2 to aim.

  2. Press down the right analog stick/R3 to activate Concentration Mode.

  3. Pull back for the shot by holding R2 and let go to fire.

By making smart use of Concentration Mode, you will always be doing the most damage in a strategic way, which can keep you out of harm’s way while removing any obstacles in your way.
