Elden Ring is a brand new open-world action-RPG developed by FromSoftware, best known for their work on the Dark Souls series and Bloodborne. The game is set in the Lands Between, where players can explore various dungeons and take on plenty of optional bosses. Invading Other Players in Elden Ring
In order to invade other players’ worlds, you’ll need either the Festering Bloody Finger or the Recusant Finger. The former is a one-use consumable item that can be obtained in any of the following ways:
- Purchasing from Patches in Murkwater Cave
- Purchasing from the Nomadic merchant in East Limgrave
- Obtained as a gift from Varre outside Rose Church, just west of the Academy of Raya Lucaria in Liurnia of the Lakes
However, if you want to make a hobby out of invading other players in Elden Ring, you’ll definitely want to get the Recusant Finger as soon as you can. This item is reusable, allowing you to invade as much as you want with no repercussions, aside from dying and losing all your Runes.
Getting the Recusant Finger in Elden Ring
- Head to Liurnia of the Lakes, and go to this small gazebo just east of the Scenic Lake Site of Grace.
- Speak with the NPC in the gazebo, and she’ll ask you to help her retrieve her necklace.
- Head northwest of the gazebo to find the Boilprawn Shack Site of Grace and rest there.
- Kill the NPC you find there, then return to the lady at the gazebo.
- Progress through the story until you reach the Altus Plateau region.
- Head to the Lux Ruins Site of Grace, towards the south of the region.
Speak with the lady there and take her hand, and you’ll be transported to the Volcano Manor.
- Speak with the leader of the Volcano Manor.
Agree to join their covenant, and you’ll be given a key and access to a side room in the Manor, where you can pick up the Recusant Finger.
You can use the Recusant Finger from your inventory, or put it in your inventory or pouch slot and use it from there. If there are any online players making use of the co-op feature in the location you’re in, you’ll be able to invade their world and try to kill them.
