Where to Get Waterfall HM

Waterfall is one of the final important items you’ll receive in the game. This HM allows you to travel up waterfalls in the overworld. It is also a physical Water-type move that does 80 damage that can be taught to your Pokemon.

To find the HM for Waterfall, you’ll need to have defeated the Electric-type gym leader Volkner in Sunyshore City and obtained the Beacon Badge. This is the final gym badge you’ll receive, so it’s pretty late in the game.

After you’ve claimed your badge, head to the beach in Sunyshore City. It’s at the very north tip of the city.

You’ll find Jasmine waiting for you on this beach. Show her your Beacon Badge, and she’ll give you the HM for Waterfall.

One difference in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl from the original games on the DS is that you don’t have to teach HMs to your Pokemon in order to use these moves in the overworld. Instead, they will be registered on your Poketch app.

This is the new way of using HMs, which is much more convenient if you want to keep your team diversified with the best possible movesets.

That’s everything you need to know about where to get the Waterfall HM in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. For more tips and tricks, be sure to check out our guide wiki for the game.
