Catching Finneon
Finneon is a non-exclusive Pokemon and so can be caught in both Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. It can be found in both games by fishing in water in the following locations:
- Canalave City
- Fuego Ironworks
- Iron Island
- Route 205
- Route 218
- Route 219
- Route 220
- Route 221
- Valley Windworks
It’s worth noting that you will need to use the Good Rod to fish in bodies of water in the locations noted above. If you use an Old Rod, you won’t be able to catch it.
It’s also possible to catch Lumineon in these locations if you’ve got and use a Super Rod to fish in these locations. It has a rare spawn rate, however, so it could take a good few tries before one appears.
Evolving Finneon into Lumineon in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl
Finneon evolves into Lumineon at level 31. After finishing a Pokemon Battle that causes your Finneon to reach level 31, a short animation will play out and afterward, you’ll now have a Lumineon.
You don’t need any evolution stone, to increase your friendship level with a Pokemon, nor trade it with your friend in order to cause the evolution process to begin. This is a straightforward, normal leveling-up evolution.
