How to Get Dusk Stones in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Dusk Stones are one of the rarer and harder-to-find stones in the game, so it’s natural that some people are having a bit of trouble locating them in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. The first one that you can find in-game doesn’t happen until pretty late, so it will be a while before you can use one.

The Galactic Warehouse contains a Dusk Stone that is right at the start of the building behind the door that requires the Storage Key which you’ll get from the story. This is the first, and easiest Dusk Stone to get in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, so make sure to use it very carefully if you’re relying on it for any reason.

You won’t be able to find another on the ground until you’ve beaten the game and unlocked the National Dex and can enter the National Dex area of Victory Road. Once you’ve unlocked this area, head into the foggy room (there’s only one path), defog it, and head to the upper left-hand corner of the room (you’ll need to battle a few Ace trainers) along the way.

You’ll be presented with two simple Strength puzzles. In the first puzzle, you just need to make sure that you push all the stones to the side, (not up). The second, you just need to push the first stone two times and then push the first stone again over to the right so you can then push the uppermost second stone out of the way.

At the time of this writing, the only other method that we know of, according to Serebii is to use a Pokemon with Pickup as they have a small chance of finding a Dusk Stone every time the ability goes off while you’re walking around the overworld once the Pokemon is at least level 11. So if you’re desperate to horde some Dusk Stones, consider keeping a Pickup Pokemon such as Ambipom or Linoone.

Pokemon That Evolve Via Dusk Stone

Dusk Stones evolve the following two Pokemon in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl:

  • Murkrow into Honchkrow
  • Misdreavus into Mismagius

There are other Pokemon that evolve via Dusk Stone, but these are the only two currently available in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
