With the release of CoD Vanguard, developer Sledgehammer Games has introduced a new progression system into the multiplayer portion of the game. Dubbed, Operator Favorite Weapons, players can earn additional XP for their weapon and operator in order to go through these progression ladders even faster. What Are Operator Favorite Weapons?

Operator Favorite Weapons are a specific weapon which, when used with that Operator, will earn you bonus Operator XP and Weapon XP.

These are listed on the right-hand side of the screen when selecting an Operator from the ‘Operator’ menu on the multiplayer lobby screen.

In other words, if you’re playing as Lucas as your Operator and are using the Owen Gun with him, you’ll earn additional XP for both the weapon and your Operator itself.

This is particularly useful if you’re looking to quickly unlock all of the attachments for a weapon, or new skins, finishing moves and calling cards for your favorite Operator.

How Operator Favorite Weapons Work in CoD Vanguard

All you need to do is select the Operator you want to use, then create a Loadout or use an existing one that has their Operator Favorite Weapon equipped.

Now play a game with this and at the very end, you’ll be rewarded with the bonus XP alongside all the XP you earned for racking up kills and playing the objective.
