Getting Ceiling Lights in Animal Crossing New Horizons

Let’s talk about ceiling lights first. These are available to all players in update 2.0, and you don’t have to purchase Happy Home Paradise.

First off, head to Resident Services and interact with the Nook Stop Terminal. Purchase the Pro Construction License for 3,000 Nook Miles, and you’ll be able to start using this feature right away. Head back to your house, then press down on the d-pad to start decorating.

Press the + button to toggle between ground decorations, wall decorations, and finally, ceiling decorations. If you have any ceiling lights in your inventory, you can start placing them here.

Ceiling lights can be purchased from Nook’s Cranny for Bells (furniture gets rotated daily, as usual), or received as gifts from villagers, or obtained from balloon presents.

Counters, Partition Walls, Pillars, Soundscapes

As for the rest of the good stuff, you’ll need to actually start the Happy Home Paradise DLC to start gaining access to those. Once you get to the archipelago, Lottie will walk you through some of the basics of helping clients create their dream vacation homes.

When you start decorating, you’ll have access to an entire catalog of new furniture and decorative options, which includes counter tables, partitions, with pillars and soundscapes coming a little later. At first, you’ll only be able to use these while decorating client homes. However, you should be able to unlock them eventually as the furniture stock rotates in the Happy Home office building.

Do note that you’ll need to pay for the new items with Poki, which is a currency you get from completing jobs for clients. You won’t be able to use Bells, so make sure to do as many decoration jobs as possible.

That’s all you need to know about how to get ceiling lights, counters, partition walls, pillars, and soundscapes in Animal Crossing New Horizons. Be sure to check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
