Taking place after the events of the first game, NEO The World Ends With You brings more charming RPG goodness, but this time to the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC. As you explore the city, you’ll encounter enemies that you’ll have to fight in battle. The good news is that there’s always the option to run away in NEO The World Ends With You, allowing to you skip the battle and get back to exploring the city. Here’s everything you need to know to do exactly that.
How to Run Away in NEO The World Ends With You
To run away, press the touchpad to pause the action during a fight and a menu will appear. Here, you can select the option to ‘Run Away.’ Select this and you’ll then have a ‘chance’ of running away.
We say chance because there’s no guarantee that you can run away from every encounter and some won’t give you the option to run away at all, in boss battles, for example.
Running away from a battle is convenient when you’re just trying to press on with the story and complete objectives. It saves you from having to spend time battling minor enemies, so you can just press on with your adventure.
That being said, taking part in these smaller battles allows you to earn EXP, and every last bit of experience will help you level up your characters and increase your Team HP. As such, if you’re struggling to take on story missions, we’d recommend fighting in any of these battles you encounter so you can level up your characters that little bit faster.
That’s everything you need to know on how to run away from battles in NEO The World Ends With You. For more tips, tricks and guides, head over to our guide wiki, or see more of our coverage on the game below.
