Just like with other abilities in the game, there are certain requirements that must be met in order to sprint and run faster in NEO: The World Ends With You. The most important one is that you must progress to Week 2 Day 3. When you do, you’ll gain the ability to Soundsurf from your new teammate, Beat.

This brand-new ability provided by Beat allows you to move faster as you explore Shibuya. Tap Circle on PlayStation or A on Switch and time your button presses with the beat of the song playing in the background to move faster. Doing this also increases your Groove percentage before you even start a battle, so it’s worth doing and getting used to.
