How to Destroy the Abandoned Shrine Barrier in Genshin Impact
We cover the beginning of this questline in our guide on how to get the Memento Lens, so check that one out if you still haven’t reached the part of the questline that brings you to Narukami Shrine.
After speaking to shrine maiden Inagi Hotomi and obtaining the Memento Lens, return to the abandoned shrine near Konda Village and use the lens on the tiny, glowing Earth Kitsune statuettes found throughout the area. There are six in total.
All of the statuettes look like the one next to Razor in the image below, and they’re easy to find because of the small search area outlined by the game on your map.
After scanning them all with the lens, return to the main Kitsune statue surrounded by candles and say the lines provided in this order:
- “In the name of Narukami’s envoy.”
- “And of the hakushin Bloodline.”
- “Bring forth the fried tofu!”
Drop off the cliff to the right of the statue to find the gate that leads to the barrier that needs to be destroyed. It’s found right on the edge of a body of water on the map.
Use the Old Key that you obtained from the well in Konda Village earlier in this questline to open the gate that leads to an underground shrine. There’s another puzzle waiting for you that’s just like the one from the well.
This time, adjust the small shrines so that the one in the middle has two symbols above it, and the ones on the edges of the room have three symbols above them.
Once again, an enemy will appear just as the puzzle is solved. A Mysterious Samurai will immediately attack. The samurai does a bit more damage and uses Pyro, but this battle should also be no problem, just like the one in the well.
