How to Unlock Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart’s New Game Plus

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart’s New Game Plus mode is unlocked upon beating the game’s story once. It doesn’t matter what difficulty you beat the game on, just as long as you watch the credits roll.

Upon beating the story in one playthrough, players will then be able to select Challenge Mode from the main menu.

Select the Save File with your completed game progress and then press Square. This will start the game over in Challenge Mode.

What Carries Over to Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart’s Challenge Mode & What’s Different?

First and foremost, the main difference is that the difficulty will be ramped up in Challenge Mode.

To help you take on this tougher challenge, the game transfers all your inventory, upgrades and weapons that you acquired in your first playthrough and gives you them from the very beginning of the game.

Almost all of your collectibles like Gold Bolts also carry over, except for Blizon Crystals and Zurpstones, which you’ll need to find again.

The other thing that’s worth noting is that you’ll only be able to unlock the final two weapons — Bouncer and Pixelizer — in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart’s Challenge Mode.

If you’re looking to get the platinum trophy, you’ll need to at least play through part of the New Game Plus mode in order to unlock these.
