It’s finally here! After over five years in development, Biomutant has arrived as the first game from Swedish developer Experiment 101. The open-world ARPG sees your cute little critter tasked with saving the Tree of Life by defeating the monsters awaiting you at each of its four roots. Set to release on May 25, 2021, some players may be wondering what the Biomutant preload times, file size, and unlock times are, so you can be all set to start playing as soon as possible.
Preload Times
Thanks to Twitter account @PlayStationSize, we know that the game will be available for preload on PS4/ PS5 on May 23, two days before its release on May 25.
For Xbox One/ Series X|S owners, you can preload Biomutant right now, according to a post on GameFAQs. All you need to do is select the game on the Xbox App from the store.
Finally for PC players, no preload date has been announced or confirmed yet. Once we’ve got any official confirmation we’ll update this post and let you know.
Biomutant Install & Download Size
Biomutant weighs in with a total install size of 21.5 GB on PS4 as noted by PlayStation Size in the tweet above.
On PC, the Steam Store listing states players will need at least 25 GB of free space on their hard drive/ SSD.
Finally, according to a forum post on GameFAQ the game requires at least 13.71 GB on Xbox One.
It’s worth noting these Biomutant file sizes could change with the release of day-one updates, but we’ll update these as soon as we can confirm.
What Time Does Your Biomutant Preload Unlock?
Once you’ve got Biomutant preloaded, you’ll be able to start playing the game on May 25. You should be able to start playing the game as soon as the clock strikes midnight.
