The Bigger Game – Man of Medan
PS Plus Free Games Predictions May 2021
We have some PS Plus predictions to tide you over before Sony announces the real list of free games in a week or so for May 2021. As usual, there’s one larger and one smaller pick.
For the current month of April 2021, we got some pretty good games on PS Plus. Oddworld Soulstorm headlined on PS5, while Days Gone and Zombie Army 4: Dead War were available on PS4. PS5 owners already have Days Gone with the PS Collection, so it was nice that players could get it for free on last-gen as well.
For next month, we predict the headliner will be The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan from Until Dawn developer Supermassive Games and publisher Bandai Namco.
The reason why Man of Medan seems likely for PS Plus predictions is because it is the first entry in an anthology/episodic-ish series. Man of Medan released in August 2019; Little Hope, the second entry, released in October 2020; and the third entry House of Ashes is coming sometime in 2021.
Sony has a trend of offering the first entry in series such as this to entice players to pick up the more recent installment.
Until Dawn likewise already came to PS Plus back in July 2017, and is included on PS5’s PS Collection. Likewise, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood for PSVR came to PS Plus in November 2017. As such, Supermassive has some experience offering its games for free in some regard on Sony platforms.
