Persona 5 Strikers is a bit of a departure from the traditional Persona experience. It’s gameplay is slanted more toward Musou action, and it takes place in a variety of cities as opposed to one larger location. That latter bit in particular may have given you cause for concern, and if you’re like other players, you may be wondering: Can you go back to old areas in Persona 5 Strikers?
It’s a fair question, especially given how there are plenty of JRPGs that lock you out of locations and their resources after you progress the story far enough. That’s why we took some time to find a definitive answer to the conundrum, and have laid out our findings down below.
Can You Go Back to Old Ares in Persona 5 Strikers? Answered
To put things as plainly as possible, you can only return to Persona 5 Striker’s Jails as often as you like. The cities you visit in the real world, meanwhile, are only accessible while you’re actively in them, and you won’t be able to go back to them once you leave for the next stop on your trip.
It’s a bit of a hassle, especially considering that each city has specific items, recipes and Requests for you to find within them. However, it does make sense narratively and in the context of the game. You’re leaving each city in order to reach a new destination by a certain date. Going back and forth between cities would take up time needed for the plot to progress, and would throw off the timeframe established within the scope of the story.
As mentioned above though, you can return to each city’s Jail whenever you wish. To do so, all you need to do is scroll down while looking at the Jails menu at the hideout, and then select whichever Jail you wish to return to. This can be useful for grinding up experience and money, finding treasure chests you missed in your initial run-through or defeating Persona you may have had trouble with before.
Hopefully this cleared up whether or not you can go back to old areas in Persona 5 Strikers. For more on the game, check out our wiki, or see more of our coverage below.
