The Chinese New Year festivities are officially in full swing now that the Lantern Rite event is finally live in Genshin Impact. This event offers some seriously attractive rewards, including a free 4-star character that you can get if you manage to meet all the requirements. Here’s how to increase Festive Fever in Genshin Impact.
Increasing Festive Fever in Genshin Impact
If you’ve taken a look at the event panel, you’ll notice that the quest Stand By Me, which allows you to get a free 4-star character, will require you to reach a Festive Fever level of ‘Glow of a Thousand Lanterns’ and spend a total of 1,000 Peace Talismans.
The Peace Talismans bit should come naturally as you play more of the Theater Mechanicus event, but the Festive Fever bit is a little more obtuse than that.
Again, if you look at the event panel, the top left corner of the screen should have a gauge that indicates your Festive Fever level. On the first day of the event, you should still be at ‘We’re Just Getting Started’ and the more Fever you accumulate, the more that gauge will fill up. Once you have it maxed out, you should be able to claim your free character.
To increase the gauge, you simply need to complete the Lantern Rite Tales missions. Click on the Lantern Rite Tales on the event panel, and you’ll see a handful of small missions you can take on in Liyue. Completing these will reward you with a bit of Festive Fever to push that gauge up, but do note that these events are time-locked and will be come available as the hours go by.
As long as you keep on top of the Lantern Rite Tales, you should be able to rack up Fever points quickly to max out the gauge.
That’s all you need to know about how to increase Festive Fever in Genshin Impact. Be sure to check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
