Getting the Maracas in Animal Crossing New Horizons

Unlike the Festivale items, the maracas aren’t time-locked, and can be obtained at any time. To get the maracas, simply make sure that your game is updated to the latest version, then boot it up.

As soon as you get into the game, check your mailbox and you should receive a letter and a present from Nintendo thanking you for continuing to play the game. Open up the present, and you’ll find the maracas themselves.

These aren’t decorative items that you can just place around your house or your island. Instead, if you select them from your inventory, you can get your character to hold them and interact with them, similar to the balloons or tweeters from last year’s summer update.

With the maracas in hand, you can then press the A button to make your character give them a good shake. And that’s all there is to it. They don’t serve any other purpose aside from making your character look really cute, and they’re definitely a good item to have on you whenever you want to visit other players and show off all your cool items.

And of course, if you don’t want to use them anymore, just put them back in your house inventory and retrieve them whenever you need them again.

That’s all you need to know about how to get the maracas in Animal Crossing New Horizons. Be sure to check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
