Let’s be frank: as beautiful as Cyberpunk 2077‘s environments are, you don’t want to spend every second of your day walking through its environments to get to your next mission. That’s why we’re here to walk you through how to sprint and run faster in Cyberpunk 2077.
How to Sprint and Run Faster in Cyberpunk 2077
As with most other modern games, sprinting and running faster in Cyberpunk 2077 is easy to do.
While running around the game world, you can press L3 on PlayStation consoles or LS on Xbox consoles to trigger your character’s sprint animation. They’ll then run more quickly until you collide with part of the environment, run out of stamina or press L3 or LS again.
That’s really all there is to it. You can sprint whenever you want so long as you have the necessary stamina, and it’s fairly hard to forget the controls thanks to there only being one button press involved.
While it may be tempting to sprint through every area in the game, doing so could lead to you missing valuable items and secrets. This can leave you lacking for equipment, consumables or cool tidbits about the game’s setting once you reach your intended destination.
Likewise, not being mindful of your stamina when sprinting during combat can lead to you running out in the middle of a combat zone; and, in turn, hobbling toward cover while you get peppered with enemy fire, waiting for your stamina to recharge.
Be mindful of your stamina, and what you might miss by sprinting through areas you haven’t combed over yet. With time, you’ll have a feel for when the best times are to sprint and when the best situations to use the mechanic are.
