Cyberpunk 2077: I Walk the Line Quest Guide

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

This Act II Cyberpunk 2077 tasks players with sneaking into The Animals’ stronghold in Pacifica at the behest of Placide. Your mission, which you only discover toward the end of the quest, is to take out a netrunner that’s hiding within a shopping mall complex. But you’ll have to get through a whole bunch of goons and a boss fight before you can take him out. Here’s a I Walk the Line Cyberpunk 2077 quest guide if you need some help.

I Walk the Line Quest Guide For Cyberpunk 2077

The first section of this quest is very straight forward. You’ll be meeting with Placide, The Vodoo Boys’ second in command, as he gives you some (vague) information on what sort of gig he wants you to complete before allowing you to speak with Briggite.

As mentioned above, you’re going to be entering a rival gangs’ stronghold, uploading some software to a van, and then finding and taking out a netrunner after dealing with a boss called Sasquatch.

After you’ve made your way into the mall, which is more or less as simple as following the waypoints and taking out one or two goons along the way, you’ll need to locate the van.

We highly recommend you listen to Placide and take a stealthy approach as he’s requested. It’s a much easier quest if you go that route, and if you ask us it also makes more sense within the context of what you’re doing.

That said, if you want to go in guns blazing then you can do so — just be prepared to take on a dozen or so fairly beefy enemies within the mall’s central area.

Otherwise, if you’ve gone for the stealthy approach then make your way down the escalator and slowly to the far-left-hand side of the mall.

There are some enemies in the center of the mall you can take out either with a choke or a silenced weapon if you have one. Otherwise, as always, you can use Quickhacks to distract them.

And you’ll probably need to use a distraction once you’ve located the van since it has several goons standing around it. That said, the Jack In point is at the back where they can’t see, so you might be able to get there and upload the software without doing so if you take it slowly.

With that done, turn around, and climb the elevator shaft at the very back of the mall before proceeding toward the objective on the mini-map. Note that the netrunner is now aware of your presence and will send enemies toward your position, so move quickly and quietly if you want to avoid a huge firefight.

Now it’s time to get ready for the boss fight, so heal up, buff yourself with any consumables you have, and make sure your weapons are reloaded and ready to go.

Beating Sasquatch

We’ve written a detailed breakdown of how to beat Sasquatch here, but the long and the short of it is that you want to aim for the purple crystal on her back. Damaging the crystal causes Sasquatch to become seriously compromised and take substantially more damage. She’s also weak to fire, so anything you have that causes burn, such as the thermo mod for the Mantis Blades, is a good option.

I Walk the Line Cinema Shutters Bug

Right after beating Sasquatch you’ll be heading toward the cinema to take out the netrunner. This should be a very straight forward process, but some players are reporting a bug that prevents them from progressing.

If the shutters don’t open for you, quicksave and then quit the game and reboot. It should solve the problem.
