Busgnax is all about catching creatures as you search the island for the explorer who called you there. However, it’s not simply a case of putting your trap down and grabbing it. Instead, it’s all a little more complex. So that you can get the one you need early on in the game, here’s everything you need to know about how to catch a Bunger in Bugsnax.
The Bunger isn’t that easily scared, with it bouncing you into the air if you get too close. It’s also too big to get into a Snak Trap, so you’ll need to find another way to grab one.
How to Catch Bunger in Bugsnax
By the time you need to catch a Bunger as part of an early quest, as you make your way towards Snaxburg, you’ll be given a net to catch some Bugsnax with.
Bungers will tackle a lot of things, especially if they’re covered in Ketchup. Therefore, you need to find a plant and grab some Ketchup to fire from your Slinger.
Then, you need to fire some Ketchup at a Bunger and then shoot Ketchup at the ground to lead one Bunger into the tackle range of another.
One will then tackle the other since it’s covered in Ketchup, knocking them both out. You don’t need to cover both in Ketchup to catch a Bunger in Bugsnax; one tackling the other will knock them both out regardless.
Then, walk up to them within the ten seconds they’ll be knocked out for and press square to collect them in your net. There’s no need for your Snak Trap here, so don’t bother with it.
Then, you’ll be able to give them to whoever you want to give them to and continue along your journey.
