Watch Dogs Legion brings the series to London, letting you take control of any NPC in the game. On top of various pieces of new and returning hacking tech, there are various weapons for you to wield, each of which can be upgraded to make them more powerful. So that you’re getting the most out of your guns, here’s everything you need to know about how to upgrade weapons in Watch Dogs Legion.
As you progress through the game and complete missions, you’ll get access to new weapons, which you’re then able to upgrade.
How to Upgrade Weapons in Watch Dogs Legion
To unlock some new weapons, and upgrade all of them, you’ll need to get Tech Points.
To get them, you can either search the map for them, where they’ll be lying around like collectibles, or you can make your way through the main story. You’ll be given them for every main mission you complete, so you’ll rack them up quite quickly if you blast through the game.
However, just searching the map is the best way to get them quickly. You’ll see little green diamond icons all over the map, which indicate Tech Point locations. Head over there, and you’ll find a small green tablet waiting for you. Interact with it, and you’ll be rewarded with 10 Tech Points.
The locations that you’ll find them in will be revealed as you get close to one while exploring the city, or if you manage to max out the Defiance meter for a district.
Once you’ve got some and are looking to upgrade weapons in Watch Dogs Legion, you just need to pause the game and select the Tech tab.
Here, you’ll find the full list of upgrades and other items you can unlock. Just press and hold the X button to unlock the one you want (or the A button if you’re on Xbox One). The upgrade will then be finished, and you’ll be able to carry on with the mission you’re playing.
