Genshin Impact is a new free-to-play title getting a lot of comparisons to The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. Just because the two have a lot in common doesn’t mean miHoYo’s action-RPG doesn’t have some exciting mysteries hidden up its sleeve. Here is everything you need to know about how to solve the Mystery quest in Genshin Impact.
This questline appears relatively early on in the game, as Kaeya asks you to find a hidden treasure, giving only vague clues to track it down. Unlike most missions so far, you’ll need to do some exploring and problem solving to complete this task.
How to Solve the Mystery Quest in Genshin Impact
Clue #1
“Three six-armed giants reside in the city in the lake. Two guard the stature, one, the treasure.”
The first clue in the Mystery quest asks you to find the six-armed giants guarding the statue in Mondstadt. This refers to the windmills located in the area.
Head to the one furthest from the statue and you’ll get the next clue.
Clue #2
“She doesn’t love him at all. The passion rushing through the clear spring is just a front. When she’s cold and alone, her true heart is revealed.”
The second clue requires you to do a little bit of climbing near the Statues of the Seven in Springvale. Once in the area, go towards the Windwail Highland teleport and climb the left side near the waterfall.
At the top, activate the three frost totems using frost attacks to get the final clue for the Mystery quest.
Clue #3
The third and final clue is just an image of where you’re going to find the treasure. The “X marks the spot” location is found in a cave located along the Falcon Coast.
You’ll actually get a quest marker this time, so it’ll be easy to find. Once you arrive, navigate the dungeon until you run into the treasure hoarder Izzard.
Right after Kaeya and the Knights arrive in the cutscene, you’ll end up fighting the Ruin Guard. Defeat this enemy, and the quest is complete.
How to Solve the Mystery Quest in Genshin Impact:
- Head to the Windmill furthest from the statue in Modstadt.
- Go towards the Windwail Highland teleport in Springvale and climb the left side near the waterfall.
- Activate the three totems using frost attacks.
- Head to the quest marker and navigate the dungeon.
- Defeat the Ruin Guard.
