They can appear flying around anywhere on your island, but they most commonly appear around flowers, especially hybrids. If you aren’t seeing any butterfly spawns, consider growing more hybrid flowers of any variety.

The monarch butterfly will only appear during a certain time of the year. Specifically, in the Northern Hemisphere, they will appear during the autumn months of September through November. In the Southern Hemisphere, they appear during the autumn months are March through May.

Also, Monarch butterflies will only spawn during the hours of 4 a.m. to 5 p.m. Keep in mind that they will not appear if it is raining.
