How to Get Shinx in Pokemon Sword & Shield

The Isle of Armor is a bit bigger than it looks at first glance, and it’s home to Shinx as well as a variety of other Pokemon from past gens that weren’t seen in the base game. As soon as you arrive, your Pokedex will automatically be updated by a woman in the isle’s station.

Before you can explore, you’ll need to complete one battle against the new version exclusive trainer character. It’ll be Klara for Pokemon Sword and Avery for Shield. Once you defeat them, you’ll be able to roam around as you please.

To find Shinx on the Isle of Armor, you’ll need to wait for rain or a thunderstorm. If either of those weather conditions are present, Shinx can be found as a visible encounter.

You’ll see Shinx roaming around Challenge Beach to the west, Training Lowlands and Potbottom Desert to the north, and the Challenge Road just in front of the Tower of Darkness.

How to Evolve Shinx into Luxray

Evolving Shinx on the Isle of Armor is the same as in any other region. It simply needs to level up. Shinx evolves into Luxio at level 15, then into Luxray at level 30.

Although, on the isle, Shinx will already be at level 60 when you find it. Since that’s the case, all you’ll need to do is level it up twice for it to evolve twice.

That’s everything you need to know about how to get Shinx in Pokemon Sword & Shield. If you’re looking for more tips on the expansion, check out the guides below.
