Persona 4 Golden: How to Unlock Marie’s Dungeon (Hollow Forest)

When Persona 4 originally released on the PS2, it was already a very beefy JRPG with nearly 100 hours of content to get through. And with Persona 4 Golden on the PS Vita, there’s even more added content to see, including a new character named Marie, who also comes with a social link for you to complete. Here’s how to unlock Marie’s dungeon, the Hollow Forest, in Persona 4 Golden.

Marie’s social link becomes available to you once you’ve cleared Yukiko’s castle, and you’ll be able to level it up like any other normal social link. Her social link progress is gated by story progress, though, so whenever she refuses to hang out with you, you’ll simply need to continue the main story until the next main event and you should be able to invite her out again.

Essentially, you need to reach the max rank with Marie before January, and before entering the Magatsu Inaba dungeon. At her final rank, you can choose to romance her, but the romance part is completely optional; as long as you reach rank 10, you’ll be able to unlock Marie’s dungeon later on.

After clearing Magatsu Inaba in January, you’ll receive a phone call from Margaret regarding Marie.

On Jan. 2, visit Margaret in the Velvet Room and she’ll inform you that Marie is gone, but she’ll start tracking her down and let you know if she learns anything new.

With that out of the way, you’re basically on the right track to unlocking the dungeon. Simply play through the game as per normal, and Margaret will eventually contact you again and lead you to Marie’s dungeon. This is also one of the prerequisites for the game’s true ending, so you’ll definitely want to clear this to see all that the game has to offer.

That’s all you need to know about how to unlock Marie’s dungeon, the Hollow Forest, in Persona 4 Golden. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
