Finding Rover in Animal Crossing New Horizons

Rover was a character that showed up in past Animal Crossing games and would help the player character get set up, and he makes a special appearance in New Horizons as well, though his proper role in the game isn’t clear just yet. To meet him, you’ll first need to speak with Tom Nook at Resident Services between May 1 to May 7 to learn about the May Day Tour.

After that, speak with Orville at the airport and let him know you want to go on the May Day Tour, and you’ll be transported to a special island that you have to navigate without anything on you.

Essentially, you’ll be able to pick up a shovel and axe along the way, and you need to make use of the materials and resources on this island to get to the northeast corner of the area. Once you do so, you’ll be able to speak with Rover and introduce yourself, and he’ll hand over Rover’s Briefcase, which is a piece of furniture you can display on your island.

After that, you can return back to your island and let Nook know you’ve completed the tour. However, it doesn’t seem like you can repeat the May Day Tour after you’ve already done it once.

If Rover gets any sort of follow-up or a proper role in the game later on down the line, we’ll update this guide with the relevant info.

That’s all you need to know about how to find Rover in Animal Crossing New Horizons. Be sure to search for Twinfinite or check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
