Thankfully, there are few buttons you can press to get around quickly. Since the game has been expanded from what you’ll know from the original, there’s more to see and more to find, so you’ll be doing more exploring than you would have done in the original.

How to Sprint & Run Faster in Final Fantasy 7 Remake

There are three buttons you can press to sprint in the game. First, you can press in L3 (the left thumbstick).

Alternatively, you can hold R1 or R2 while running around the world, which might feel a little more natural. When you let go, whatever character you’re using will go back to normal jogging speed.

Just be a little wary about sprinting too much in Final Fantasy 7 Remake, especially in tight enclosed places, as Cloud and his friends can awkwardly bump into thing while running around. Also, since you can’t jump in the game, you can’t get over things that are in your way.

Special movement such as getting underneath debris, climbing ladders, or jumping, is handled by walking up to movement arrows when they appear. You can’t do such things on your own.

That’s everything you need to know about how to sprint and run faster in Final Fantasy 7 Remake. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to check out our wiki guide or search for Twinfinite.
