Call of Duty Warzone: Can You Play Squads? Answered
Call of Duty’s new battle royale mode, Warzone, has finally launched and you don’t even have to own Modern Warfare. Leaks and teases have come frequently over the past few weeks, but only now do we know exactly how Warzone will work. In case you have loads of team options, here’s everything you need to know about whether you can play squads in Call of Duty Warzone.
In games like Fortnite, you can play on your own, or with up to three others. Playing solo allows you to be a lone wolf, while squads can be the most fun, treating matches like social spaces.

Unfortunately, we have some bad news for you if you were hoping to play as a team of four. Warzone only allows for trios at launch, meaning one of your four will have to be left out.
Unlike trying to play solo and duos though, there’s not really any way around it. You can always ignore teammates to make solo or duos play a reality, but there’s no way of adding an extra player to a team.
There’s always a chance that four player squads is added to Call of Duty Warzone at a later date. Blackout, Black Ops 4’s battle royale mode, has featured solo, duos, and squads play at various times since it launched, with some coming and going.
Also, with it being so popular in the likes of Fortnite, people will probably be shouting for it once the game gets some traction.
Of course, we’ll be sure to update you here if and when Squads comes to Warzone at any time in the future, whether that be permanently or for a limited time.
