Starting the Guns, Love and Tentacles DLC in Borderlands 3 isn’t the hardest thing in the world to do, but it does require you to jump through a few hoops.
First, make sure the DLC has properly downloaded. This can be done by visiting the PlayStation Store, Xbox Arcade, Steam or Epic Games Store, and ensuring that the content has been downloaded from the store onto your platform of choice.
Once you’ve done this, check to make sure the latest update for the game, Version 1.10, has successfully downloaded as well. In addition to providing the new level cap to go along with the DLC, it ensures the game will register the new content and allow you to dive into it with one of your save files.
This can take anywhere between 5 and 15 minutes depending on the quality of your internet connection, but otherwise just entails you waiting for the file to download. Once it has, boot up the game and open up the main menu. Among the usual array of options will be one to start the downloadable content you own.
Guns, Love and Tentacles will be the second option, and after you select it, you’ll be dropped into the game with the DLC available in your list of active quests. You can then travel to the new planet it takes part on from Sanctuary to begin the content in earnest.
