Fortnite: How to Get Heavy Sniper in Chapter 2 Season 2

With the arrival of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2, Epic Games unvaulted a ton of weapons and items. One of which was the Heavy Sniper. This legendary and epic-rarity sniper is capable of hitting enemies harder and from further away than the regular sniper. It can also destroy wooden structures in a single shot. Here’s how to get the Heavy Sniper in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2.

Getting the Heavy Sniper in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2

To get a Heavy Sniper in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2, all you need to do is open a Chest or a Supply Drop. This is your best chance of getting a Heavy Sniper.

While there’s a chance you can get them as floor loot, this is incredibly unlikely. There’s also the chance that Henchmen could drop a Heavy Sniper once you defeat them, but there’s no guarantee of this.

Similarly, you can always try opening the longer chests that only Henchmen, or players that are wearing a disguise can open up. These can be found in the new named locations:

• The Shark
• The Rig
• The Grotto
• The Yacht
• The Agency

These larger chests require you to either down a Henchmen in the surrounding area and then carrying them over to a chest and interacting with it to scan them before it opens. Alternatively, you can find the nearby phone box to assume a disguise that will allow you to open them.

To maximize your chances even further, you can always open the Vault at each of these new named locations. Inside, you’ll find a ton of rare weapons and items, one of which could be a Heavy Sniper. We’ve got one by doing this in a few games already.
