How to Level Up Fast in Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE Encore

Like most other role-playing games, you can gain experience through battle and level up that way. In order to face the tough bosses that await you in Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE Encore, you’ll need to make sure that your characters are at the appropriate level as well.

You’ll gain levels naturally just by playing through the game and exploring the mandatory dungeons, but here are a few ways to speed up that process:

  • Playing on Easy difficulty.
  • Exploring the optional dungeons in Bloom Palace.
  • Clearing side stories.

Playing on Easy Difficulty

While it might sound blasphemous to turn the difficulty down to Easy, this is actually a great way to speed up the grinding process if you’re just looking to gain a few quick levels before moving on to the next boss. You can change the difficulty any time from the Config option in the menu, and your experience gains will go up on the lowest difficulty.

Once you’re satisfied with the experience you’ve gotten, you can always bump the difficulty back up before proceeding.

Exploring Bloom Palace’s Optional Side Dungeons

If not, you’ll be glad to know that the optional side dungeons that were released as DLC in the Wii U version are packed into the Switch version.

The dungeons can be accessed from the side door in the Bloom Palace once you clear the first chapter, and they exist primarily for you to fight against tough enemies, and also hold valuable consumables like Incense items, tomes, and skill books.

These can help to increase your stats and weapon mastery level.

Clear All Side Stories

Lastly, another way to level up is by clearing side stories as they pop up. These will get unlocked automatically as you progress through the story and increase a character’s Stage Rank, and completing them will usually reward you with a new Performa, along with an experience boost.

While you level up, it’s also worth noting that characters not in your active lineup will only receive a fraction of the experience gained from battle. So if you want to level up a character quickly, always put them in your main party.

To recap, here’s how to level up fast in Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE Encore:

  1. Play on Easy difficulty.

  2. Check out the optional dungeons in Bloom Palace.

  3. Complete side stories.
