Journey to the Savage Planet Teratomo Boss Fight

Teratomo is a big ol’ gelatinous blob of trash. At least, that’s what it looks like. It lurks at the very bottom of the tower and holds the ‘Planet’s Seed.’

At the beginning of the fight, you’ll find Teratomo right in front of you, with three platforms around the edge of the arena to your left, right and behind you. You’ll also have two smaller platforms like the one you’re standing on closer to you in the center of this area.

To beat Teratomo, all you need to do is shoot and deal damage to all those yellow spots on its body. Yes, there’s an absolute ton of them.

Simply shoot these — or use bombegranates to damage multiple yellow spots at once — and you’ll chip away at Teratomo’s health bar.

Once you’ve got Teratomo down to half health, move away from the platform in the center. Its tongue will slam down on here, giving you a path up into its insides to grab the Planet’s Seed.

You’re not going to get it first time, though. After interacting and trying to grab the Planet’s Seed from Teratomo, you then need to do it all over again.

Teratomo Moveset & Attacks to Look Out For

The way you deal damage to this final boss doesn’t change, so yellow spots are the order of the day here. What you will want to do, however, is keep an eye out for Teratomo’s own attacks.

One of these will see the external platforms in the arena being covered with lava. You won’t be able to get the items from the seed bags on the wall, nor will you be able to restore your health from the vitality plants while this is happening. Stick to the inner platforms here and blast those yellow spots.

Another attack will focus on the inner platforms. Keep an eye on Teratomo as you’re shooting the yellow spots and wait for its tentacles to stand vertically in front of you. This is the final boss signposting it’s about to slam them down on you. Make your way to any of the other platforms aside from the one you’re currently resting on.

The third and final attack of Teratomo is to summon Jellywaft and Jellywaft Primes. Simply shoot these as soon as they appear, otherwise they’ll be a constant pain as you try and wipe out Teratomo once and for all.
