Fortnite’s Out of Time challenges have gone live, and players must find Visitor Recording locations. Here’s where to find Fortnite’s recording locations so you can tick this challenge off this list.
Where to Find Visitor Recordings in Fortnite (Out of Time)
There are six Fortnite recording locations you’ll need to find. These can be found in the following locations:
- Floating Island
- Retail Row
- Moisty Palms
- Greasy Grove
- Starry Suburbs
- Gotham City

Fortnite Visitor Recording Location on the Floating Island
The floating island’s location changes each game of Fortnite you play. It’ll be floating somewhere above the map, but it’s easy enough to spot as you’re diving in.
Land on the floating island and look for a yellow truck right next to a building on the west side of the island. It’s kind of tucked in so can be difficult to spot as you’re gliding in. Someone exploded it in the game we grabbed the screenshot in above, but just know there’s a yellow truck here.
The Fortnite recording location on the Floating Island can be found right in the back of the truck. Press E on PC, X on Xbox One, Square on PS4, or Y on Switch to pick it up.
Fortnite Visitor Recording Location in Retail Row
For this one, you want to head to the east of Retail Row and look for the line of shops running down this side.
Look for a book store called McGuffin’s. Head inside and run to the top of the stairs. The Visitor Recording location in Retail Row is waiting for you here.
Fortnite Visitor Recording in Moisty Palms
Head to the hotel that used to stand tall and proud in Paradise Palms. You’ll find a white wall running down the length of the roof. The visitor recording is resting on this close to the chest spawn here.
Fortnite Visitor Recording in Greasy Grove
You need to land at the Durr Burger restaurant and head through the front entrance. Run towards the right of the counter with the cash registers and head through a door.
Just to your left you’ll see a table with the visitor recording sitting on top of it. Grab it and let’s move on!
Fortnite Visitor Recording in Starry Suburbs
You want to head towards the building right in the center of Starry Suburbs with red bricks and the pointed tower on the top. Head to the second floor and find the bed in the room through the door to your right as you come up the stairs.
The Fortnite visitor recording is right on the double bed here, but keep in mind this won’t go live until 9am ET on Thursday, Oct. 10.
Fortnite Visitor Recording in Gotham City
For this last one, you’re going to want to head to the northwest area of Gotham City. Look out for the movie theater, and you should find the visitor recording out in front of it in the middle of the road.
Again, this recording won’t appear in-game until the final Out of Time challenges for these go live.
