How to Beat Brachydios in Monster Hunter World Iceborne

Brachydios is a strange monster that basically uses its forearms as explosive boxing gloves, using a sticky slime coating to blow up any hunter that comes close to it –it’s especially recognizable due to the monster glowing green on its head and its arms.

The main thing you need to worry about is the slime that this monster secretes around the area. If you manage to step on it or get hit by it, you will inflicted with an explosive effect, that will blow you up if you don’t roll it off of you.

You’ll see little icons above your health bar that will show about three different status effects but if you roll like 4-5 times, these effects will go away and your hunter will stop glowing. Make sure to not let this effect linger on you as it could be the end of your hunt as you know it.

Brachydios’ Weaknesses

Brachydios’ head and arms are especially susceptible to water and ice, so make sure to bring the appropriate weapons and also take care of those two areas by using your clutch claw to weaken it when you can.

Once you get a hang of Brachydios’ attack patterns and such, you’ll learn that fighting it isn’t too difficult compared to some of the other monsters in Iceborne.

To sum things up,

  1. Roll around when you get hit by one of Brachydios’ secretions

  2. Use ice and water-type weapons if possible.

  3. Aim for its head and arms and make sure to use the clutch claw to soften it up, ensuring that you cause optimal damage.

And that’s pretty much all you need to know about how to beat Brachydios in Monster Hunter World Iceborne. For more guides such as this one, do be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki guide on the game right here.
