How to Play With Friends in FIFA 20

When it comes down to it, you have a lot of choices for playing with friends in this year’s version of FIFA.

First and foremost, you and a buddy can simply play head to head in the Kick Off mode.

Kick Off

For this basic offline mode, go to Kick Off in the main menu, connect all the controllers you want, and select sides.

From here, you can also sign into account and the game will track your head to head record, knowing who currently owns bragging rights.

You can then choose match type (classic, UCL, volta, house rules, etc) and choose your team.

Ultimate Team

Next up is everyone’s favorite addicting squad building game, Ultimate Team.

To play with friends for this mode, head to the Ultimate Team section and choose Friendlies.

It should be noted that Friendlies are the only way to play co-op in this mode, meaning no ranked play or impact on records or stats.

Once inside, you can couch play, play online, or play a friend. Next, choose which team you want and match type.

You can also play local co-op in the games drafting feature by pressing triangle to add a controller once the match has been found.

Co-op Seasons

For those of you in it for the long haul with your friends, FIFA 20’s Co-op Seasons are just for you. Together, you’ll be able to play against people online with a friend right from your couch.

To do so, head to the Online part of the main menu and choose whatever friend you want to invite to a new season. From here, choose your team and get started.

Pro Clubs

Not entirely too much has changed for the Pro Clubs mode from previous years.

All you need to do is use your created player to create a team with your friends. Depending on how many friends are involved, each will control their specific players.

To get everyone together, just invite them to your club or joining theirs.

Volta

Last but not least, there is Volta. For this mode, you need to choose the location you want to go to (Asia, Europe, etc) from the map when you open Volta.

Once you’ve chosen the location you prefer, select single match and choose your difficulty. Then, select multiplayer and join the game with another controller.

Keep in mind that you need to make your way through the Volta story in order to be able to unlock different places to play with friends.

That is everything you need to know about how to play with friends in FIFA 20.
