How to Get Disney Plus For $4 a Month

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

After a shotgun blast of exciting information coming out of D23, Disney’s biyearly convention celebrating all things Disney, you might be rearing to dive into Disney Plus when it launches this November. Its price of $7 a month is quite great but what if you could get the service even cheaper with something called the Founder’s Edition? Here’s how to get Disney Plus for $4 a month.

$4 a Month Disney Plus via Founder’s Edition

Disney Plus will launch Nov. 12 and that’s right around the corner. On day one, you can sign up for the service for $6.99 a month. That’s a pretty great deal but what if you could do better?

The entry price is very low, especially compared to other streaming services, but there’s always the chance that Disney raises the prices after we’re all hooked. We’ll have to see.

Fortunately, there’s a way to not only get a cheaper price per month for the service, but lock in the price as well to protect you from any price hikes. The only caveat is that you have to do all of this before Sept. 2 because after that date, the Founder’s Edition will no longer be available.

The first thing you’re going to want to do is head to the official D23 site. Once there, sign up for a membership. There are two premium memberships but you don’t need that to take advantage of this deal — just sign up for the free membership.

Once you’ve signed up, keep an eye on your email and your account. After about roughly 24 hours, you’ll receive a notification for your account and an email giving you what is called the Founder’s Edition of Disney Plus.

The Founder’s Edition will cost you $140 upfront but after paying for that, you’ll receive Disney Plus service for three years, guaranteed. You pay $140 upfront and then rest easy because you won’t receive another charge from Disney Plus for three years.

Now, how much cheaper is this? If you break up $140 into 36 months (three years), you’re left with $3.89 a month.

That’s it for our guide on how to get Disney Plus for $4 a month.
