Fire Emblem Three Houses lets you choose from one of three houses to teach at the Garreg Mach Monastery, and each of these houses has their own set of students that’ll join you in battle. Of course, you’ll want to outfit each of your units with the best weapons possible. Here’s how to upgrade weapons in Fire Emblem Three Houses.
Unlocking the Blacksmith
Before you can even think about upgrading weapons, you’ll first need to unlock the Blacksmith. Luckily, you don’t need to go out of your way at all to do that.
Simply play through the game until you complete the third story mission, at which point the Blacksmith will automatically be unlocked.
How to Upgrade Weapons in Fire Emblem Three Houses
The Blacksmith in Fire Emblem Three Houses functions about the same as it does in past Fire Emblem games. The biggest difference this time around is that you can only do it on Sundays in Three Houses, which are your free days.
From the free day menu choose Marketplace, then select Blacksmith. On the Blacksmith menu you can select Forge to upgrade your weapons to a number of + variants that’ll boost their damage and stats.
Keep in mind, in order to upgrade your weapons you’ll need both money and Smithing Stones, but it’s always worth upgrading at least one or two as it’ll give your units that slight boost you might need.
