As you’d expect from a collaboration between id software and Avalanche Studios, there are plenty of crazy weapons for you to wreak havoc with in Rage 2. You won’t get to use them, however, unless you’re up for a bit of exploring, as the more powerful weapons in the game are scattered across the open world in hidden places. How to Get the Hyper Cannon in Rage 2
As we mentioned above, most the weapons in Rage 2 are hidden away, but in the case of the hyper cannon, it really is a bit of a mission to find. A very tough mission, too. Indeed, you’ll have to travel to the very northern edge of Rage 2’s map and defeat a level 10 difficulty area in order to unlock it.
Specifically, you’re looking for the Green Haven Ark, which should appear as the most northerly question mark on the map as you approach it.
You’ll have to beat a two-stage boss to gain access to the Ark, which is also protected by a bunch of minions that are battling Goons as you arrive. Our advice is to pick as many of them off before you enter the area. This is because as you do so the boss will appear, so it’s best to make things as easy on yourself as possible.
But the hyper cannon is certainly worth unlocking. It’s basically a rail gun with two fire modes: a powerful shot, and even more powerful charged shot.
