Days Gone: How to Get Money (Credits) Fast

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

Days Gone is the latest PS4 exclusive game from Bend Studio, known for developing Uncharted: Golden Abyss on the PS Vita. Here’s how you can get more money or Credits fast in Days Gone.

Before anything, it’s important to note that the amount of Credits you have is exclusive to each camp. For instance, having 8,000 Credits in Copeland’s camp doesn’t mean anything in Tucker’s camp at the Hot Springs. Once you enter a new camp or region, you’ll need to earn your Credits all over again if you want to buy anything from that particular camp.

How to Get Money (Credits) Fast in Days Gone

This makes things a little trickier, but we do have a few handy ways to rack up Credits fast in Days Gone.

Turning in Bounties

It’s not the most efficient way of earning Credits, but you’ll receive an ‘ear’ item for each Freaker you kill. You can then turn them in at the Bounties vendor at any camp to build that camp’s Trust level, and earn some Credits in the process.

Since Freaker ears aren’t used for anything beyond just more Trust and Credits, always turn them in. A good way to farm them is by running over Freakers with your bike (but watch your bike’s health), as Deacon can pick up the ears even when riding. If not, you’ll farm them naturally by playing through the game.

Hunting and Gathering

You’ll also be rewarded with Credits if you bring in meat and plants to the kitchen at a camp. Wildlife can be found all over the world, and you can kill them for meat.

In addition to that, plants are also scattered all over the place. Some plants are used for crafting, but you can also turn them in for Trust and Credits. You can also obtain the foraging skill once you have enough skill points to double your output when gathering plants for better turn-ins.

Completing Camp Missions

This is probably the best way to earn large amounts of Credits. Every so often, the camp leaders will radio you and let you know that they have a job available.

These camp missions are usually relatively short, requiring you to clear out a raider camp, kill a target, or investigate an area. Complete them, and you’ll be rewarded with a large amount of Trust for that camp, along with a very substantial amount of Credits as well.

That’s all you need to know about how to earn Credits fast in Days Gone. Be sure to check our Days Gone guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
