In The Division 2, players will need to work together to slowly unravel the mess of a situation going on in the capital region of the United States of America. One way of accomplishing that lofty feat is unlocking all the strongholds in The Division 2. Here’s what you need to know about how to unlock strongholds in Division 2.

Dismantling the nefarious factions that patrol the D.C wastelands is a key part of bringing peace back to the region. Well, at least as much as you possibly can after a major pandemic wipes out a big chunk of the USA’s population.

How to Unlock Strongholds

Anyway, the hostile factions in The Division 2 have their main footholds in the area in the form of Strongholds. You can weaken the factions and unlock the strongholds by completing main missions.

As you progress through the main story, you’ll eventually free them of their space, and more importantly, free the good civilians that occupy that area.

There’s no other special way to do so. So if you are wondering how you go about unlocking a stronghold, just be patient, level up a bit, and then go tackle the main missions when you’re ready and you’ll eventually have the map completely opened up to you.

End Game Content in Division 2

The nuance comes more in the form of end game events such as the reworked Dark Zones. There are now multiple Dark Zones that appeal to different play styles, such as a wide open area that favors people who like to play from a distance, and an enclosed areas for those that want to mix it up with others.
