How to Find All Secret Missions in Devil May Cry 5 – Secret Mission Locations
Secret Missions return once again in Devil May Cry 5, as is tradition in the series. There are twelve in total to find scattered across the game, and each one poses a unique challenge for one of the three playable characters. They can be a bit tricky to track down, however, so here’s how to find all Secret Missions in Devil May Cry 5.
How to Start Secret Missions
We’ll give you the locations of all 12 Secret Missions in the game, but there’s a trick to starting them. Once you’ve found the spot, you’ll see a bright red light appear on the ground.
What you need to do is have your character stand on that light and then adjust the camera until you have the full pentagram in view.
These will be painted on the wall or ceiling, so just stand in place on the light and look around. Once you’ve gotten the pentagram in the right position, it will light up and you can press A(X) to start the mission.
Once you’ve found a mission, you can replay it at any time by going to the main menu and selecting ‘Secret Missions’. You won’t need to find it again.
All Devil May Cry 5 Secret Mission Locations
Secret Mission 01
Found automatically in Mission 2, just proceed through the mission until you enter the mansion then look in a room near the end with a bed for the glowing red light. The game will give you a tutorial about Secret Missions.
Secret Mission 02
About halfway through Mission 3, once you reach the area with a staircase that goes up three levels, go to the bottom of the broken staircase and head into the sewer to find the mission.
Secret Mission 03 – Devil May Cry 5 Secret Mission Locations
Mission 4, grab the Nidhogg Hatchling as you progress through the level, then when you reach the battle area with the giant graffitied tower, summon Nightmare to have him break through it.
Follow that path to the second Nidhogg hatchling and back onto the main path, then backtrack a bit to the place where you’ll use the hatchlings and go to the top of the tower. There you’ll see the mission.
Secret Mission 04
Mission 5 – Proceed into the warehouse and follow the path until you reach an area with one fire barrel and a forklift, with a flaky looking wall at the back.
Destroy the Qliphoth roots and then fight the three demons that appear. Make sure to summon Nightmare so he can smash through the wall. Then proceed into the new area, fight the enemies, and walk up the small yellow stairs on your right.
Secret Mission 05
Mission 08. Make your way all the way through the level to the second lava waterfall. Jump on one of the moving platforms and look for a small ledge to the right of the waterfall with a devil breaker on it, there are two blue floating grapple points you can use to get up to the ledge and down to the area with the mission.
Secret Mission 06 – Devil May Cry 5 Secret Mission Locations
Mission 09. Play through the level until you reach the area with a bunch of pillars on the left side. Beat the enemies and make sure you have at least three bars left in your devil trigger when the battle ends.
Hug the left wall and find the door blocked by Qliphoth root. Summon Nightmare and he’ll destroy the Qliphoth core and let you in. Climb the stairs and look back.
Secret Mission 07
Play through Mission 10 normally until you reach the second area with toothed doorways, two of them, one on the right and one on the left. Beat the enemies that appear and then quickly run through the door on your right before it closes. Follow the path to find the mission.
Secret Mission 08
Play through Mission 11 until you get to the building with three Qliphoth cores in it. Destroy the first core and the building will sink, so immediately run back to where you came from and jump up the platforms to the top room. You’ll see the red glow inside so turn around for the secret mission.
Secret Mission 09 – Devil May Cry 5 Secret Mission Locations
Play through Mission 12 and fill all four sections of the statue with blood, then proceed down into the catacombs. Go up the first set of rock stairs then immediately turn around to see a platform across from you.
Either jump and Air Hike over, or a wall jump and then use Trickster to dodge over and you’ll see the red light.
Secret Misison 10
Mission 14. While playing as V, head through the linear level, beat the mini-boss gauntlet and keep going. You’ll hit a number of paths obstructed by Qliphoth Roots and have to break the cores to go forward.
Break the first one and keep going, then at the second one, break it and, instead of going forward, turn around and head back to where the root was that you just destroyed. Walk slightly past it to find the mission.
Secret Mission 11
Play through the Mission 15 until you reach the Divinity Statue (it doesn’t matter which route you pick). Once you do, run behind the statue and you’ll see an alternate area, with a cutscene that shows you where an orb fragment is.
You’ll need to get across all of the platforms and make your way up there, and there are two ways to do it. You can use the Punch Line Breakers lying around to rocket surf across all of the platforms and up to the top.
This is the easiest way to do it, but if you have a Gerbera breaker you can also use the boost feature it has to boost yourself up. Once you’ve reached the top, with the fragment, drop down to the platform on the right of the one you’re on now, and you’ll see the mission.
Secret Mission 12 – Devil May Cry 5 Secret Mission Locations
Play through Mission 16 like normal until you reach one of the downward areas that has a ton of purple rocks (eggs?) stuck to the sides of the area.
Head out on the small platform and then jump down to the next platform immediately to your left. Stop and look across the room to another platform with a giant red orb rock, and a crumbling platform in front of it.
Switch to Trickster and then double jump and dodge over to that platform, but make sure to immediately run onto solid ground. Head into the little cave area behind the red stone and carefully drop down the platforms until you see a little red alcove, the secret mission is inside.
