How to Complete Season 8 Week 1 Challenges in Fortnite
Fortnite’s Season 8 has finally arrived. We’ve seen all icy teases over the past few days, but we now know what it’s all about. Alongside new locations, there’s of course a bunch of new challenges for players to complete each week. Here’s everything you need to know about how to complete all season 8 week 1 challenges in Fortnite Battle Royale.
While three of each week’s challenges are now available for both Free Pass and Battle Pass players, you’ll need to have the Battle Pass if you want to get all of those precious Tiers and skins.
With the theme of Fortnite Season 8 being based around pirates and the newly appearing volcano, many of the cosmetic items you earn follow the same theme, aside from the banana one.
Challenges in Fortnite Battle Royale
All Season 8 Week 1 Challenges in Fortnite Season 8 Battle Royale (Free)
- Visit all Pirate Camps (7) – You’ll need to visit all of the camps across the map. The exact locations of all of them are here.
- Search chests at Retail Row or Junk Junction (7) – Head to Retail Row or Junk Junction and open chests. This can be done across as many matches as you like, but expect the locations to be busy when the update first starts.
- Stage 1 of 3 – Deal damage with a shotgun or an explosive weapon in a single match (2). We’ll update the other two parts as we know them.
All Season 6 Week 1 Challenges in Fortnite Season 8 Battle Royale (Battle Pass)
- Visit a giant face in the desert, the jungle, and the snow (3). We’ll update you with the exact locations as soon as we can.
- Use a Volcano Vent in different matches (5). Use a Volcano Vent five different times. We have info on them here.
- Get an elimination with a shotgun, assault rifle, and explosive weapon (3). Just one with each, across as many rounds as you like.
- Deal damage to a vehicle driven by an opponent (200). Deal 200 damage to a vehicle when it’s being driven. Won’t count if the enemy gets out.
