Tales of Vesperia Definitive Editon makes an already massive game even longer, with a wealth of new content. As with any JRPG, of course, you’ll want to know the easiest way to level your party fast, so you can take on those tougher challenges. Here’s the best place to level up in Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition.

There are a few different options for leveling up easily in Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition. Up until the third story act, your best bet is to simply level at the place you’ve been most recently.

That’s where the highest level enemies will be, with the best rewards. Later on in Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition, however, you’ll have more options. Below we’ll detail those options.

Before the Endgame

There’s a little valley on the world map in Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition that is one of the best places to level up based on experience-per-monster ratio, but there’s a bit of trick to reach it.

The valley itself is located due west of Mt. Temza, and there you’ll find an enemy named Gentleman. In order to land in that valley, however, you’ll have to have completed the level 3 Dragon Race.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Dragon Race, you can find this particular minigame in Myorzo. Once you can fly with Ba’ul, first fly over Mt. Temza to get a short scene then go to Myorzo and go through the first door on your right into the plaza.

After that follow the steps on the right down and talk to the child there, he’ll let you play the Dragon Race minigame.

The minigame requires you to fly through a number of rings on the world map with a time limit, and it can be a little tough.

Our tip is to open your world map while you’re playing the minigame, as it will highlight the location of the rings for you, making them easier to find.

Once you’ve completed the level 3 race head to that valley near Mt. Temza. Now there’s a trick with the monsters as well. During the day Gentlemen will give you 700 XP for each one you kill, however, at night the monster will bulk up and get more dangerous, with each one giving you 2600 XP. They still aren’t too difficult, luckily and it’s one of the best places to level up.

This is by far the easiest and safest way to quickly level up, especially if you have skills or items that boost your characters experience. Alternatively, if you’re just looking to level up one character a good bet is to head to the Coliseum and fight some solo matches.

Best Place to Level Up After the Endgame

Once you’ve beaten the final boss and completed Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition, you’ll be able to access the EX Dungeon, the Labyrinth of Memories.

This dungeon features segments from every city and dungeon in Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition, and with high-level enemies, you’re rewarded with tons of experience making it one of the best places to level up.

First things first, and this is very important, you have to fulfill certain requirements before the end of the game.

In act three, before the fortress Zaude appears, head to Pharoah’s Craig and look for the portal, which will take you back to Yormgen and speak to the Sage in his house.

Exhaust all of the dialogue, try staying the night, and head back to make sure you’ve gotten all of his dialogue. Now play the game like normal and beat the story.

After you’ve beaten the game and watched the final cutscene, load the post-game save the game has you make, the one with the star. Head to Pharaoh’s Craig and go through the portal which will take you to Yormgen, where you’ll get more scenes.

Now go to Dahngrest to get another scene. Finally, head toward the Truffdae Mountains and Yumanju, and you should see a portal on the ground that Ba’ul flies to automatically.

Now you’ll have access to the Labyrinth of Memories in Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition, which has the highest amount of experience you can get in the game. Leveling your party should be a breeze here.

Hopefully, that gives you some direction on the best place to level up in Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition.
