Resident Evil 2 completely updates the survival-horror classic for the modern age, with gorgeous graphics and an over-the-shoulder perspective. While it’s the same story, there are plenty of new segments and elements, including new items. One of those is the Electronic Gadget. Here’s how to get the Electronic Gadget and what it does in Resident Evil 2. 

The Electronic Gadget is an item you’ll need to progress further in the game, and luckily it’s pretty easy to find. Head to the room in between the Operations Room and the Records Room, in the West Wing of the Raccoon Police Station. You’ll find the gadget within.

Now using it is a different story. In order to use the Electronic Gadget you’ll need a battery, and that can be found in the S.T.A.R.S.

Office on the second floor of the West Wing. Now that you have the two items they can be combined and used to activate the C4 in the West Storage Room, on the third floor. This will give you access to the third medallion you need.

Whew, that’s a lot, but it is some classic Resident Evil puzzle-solving and exploration.
