First off, it’s worth noting that the Team of the Year players begin to go live at 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT / 6 PM GMT today. This isn’t all of the Team of the Year squad, though. Instead, this will only see the forwards released. These are Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi, and Mbappe.
Following the release of these cards, the midfielders will then be released, with the defenders and goalkeepers rounding out the final batch. Each set is replaced by the one that follows, with the whole team then coming back for one final hurrah before it goes for good.
To get Team of the Year players in FIFA 19, you’ll simply need to buy any pack that isn’t a silver or bronze pack. Gold and promo packs, therefore are what you’ll want to spend your hard-earned coins or FIFA points on, but obviously don’t go buying consumable packs or anything like that.
Promo packs that have a higher chance of containing rare players will obviously be your best bet at getting Team of the Year players in FIFA 19, though it’s worth noting that these tend to cost a fair amount of coins or FIFA points.
