If you’re trying to head into the Anthem VIP demo right now, chances are you might have hit the log-in screen only to be greeted with a Connection Problem message. Here’s how to fix the Connection Problem issue in Anthem and what it is.

Well, first off, let’s start by running through what it is. Chances are, you’re probably seeing the message that’s in the image on this guide. It reads “Connection Problem – We’re sorry, but the EA servers reached max capacity. Please try again later.”

As you may have guessed, the whole thing is actually pretty self-explanatory. Anthem’s servers are jam-packed with players desperate to check out BioWare’s latest title. As such, EA is likely hard at work on its end ensuring that the servers will be able to take the influx of traffic.

To fix the Connection Problem issue in Anthem, you’ll simply have to wait it out. You can try returning to the home screen on your Xbox One or PS4 and closing the application by pressing the Options button on PS4 or Menu button on Xbox One, and selecting the ‘Close Application’ option. After doing this, try reloading Anthem and try again.

It’s likely, however, that you’ll need to wait a little while for this to really give yourself any chance of being able to log into Anthem and avoiding this issue.

EA’s Global Community Manager Jesse Anderson has just tweeted out that the team is hard at work scaling servers to let more players in gradually to avoid crashing. It’ll continue to scale until everyone’s managed to get into Anthem.

Currently, EA has yet to make any official announcement itself regarding this issue with Anthem. However, chances are if there’s any development on the Connection Problem issue, it’ll be tweeted from the EA Help Twitter account. Be sure to keep checking back here for updates if you continue to have problems.

Aside from that, there’s not a whole lot else you can do. We’re sorry to be the bearers of bad news this time around, but at least you know that Anthem’s Connection Problem issue is nothing to do with your internet connection.

TLDR;

Question: Can you fix the Connection Problem issue in Anthem?

Answer:  Unfortunately, this issue looks to be on EA’s end right now, with its servers being at max capacity. You’ll just have to give it some time for the surge of players to drop off before you can log-in. EA is also likely doing its best to get more servers online for players to join the fun, but be sure to check the EA Help Twitter account for the latest updates.
