What the Max Level Cap Is in Fallout 4
Fallout 4 takes players to the post-apocalyptic wasteland of Boston, Massachusetts. With plenty of iconic, derelict landmarks to check out, a plethora of weapons to deal out damage to your enemies, and a ton of quests to complete along your adventure, it’s more than possible to spend hundreds of hours in the game. As such, some players may be wondering exactly what the max level cap is in Fallout 4.
In most RPGs, once you reach a certain level, you’ll no longer be able to rack up any more experience and become some all-powerful god within the world.
Well, in terms of Fallout 4, there isn’t really one.
While in F3, the level cap was upped in expansions, this one never has a hard cap to begin with.
However, it’s worth noting that upon reaching level 65,535 Fallout 4 starts crashing and running into performance problems.
As such, you could technically argue that level 65,535 is the cap.
But even for those wanting to take on the likes of the Queen Mirelurk, that level is probably a little overkill, anyway.
We managed to make our way through the entirety of Fallout 4 and all of its DLC with a character under level 100, so it’s certainly not necessary to spend your time grinding out all of those levels.
That’s all there is you need to know regarding what the max level cap is in Fallout 4.
If you’ve been playing through Bethesda’s other current gen title, Fallout 76, and want to know what the deal is with the max level cap, we’ve got you covered there, too.
