Pokemon Let’s Go: How to Find & Beat Green

How to Find & Beat Green in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee

Recommended Videos

After defeating the Elite Four and becoming the Champion in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee, there’s still more to see and do in the Kanto region. For instance, you can try to find and beat the legendary trainers, including Green. Here’s how to find and beat Green in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee.

Catch Mewtwo in Cerulean Cave

Before you can actually find Green, first you’ll need to fight Mewtwo in Cerulean Cave. Head back to Cerulean City, cross the Nugget Bridge, and get into the water on the left. Head to the cave and fight the NPC standing guard there.

Thankfully, Cerulean Cave is pretty straightforward to navigate. Here’s how to find Mewtwo in Cerulean Cave:

  • Head to the northeastern corner from the cave entrance and take the ladder up.
  • Go to the northwestern corner and take the ladder down.
  • Follow the path all the way till it goes west and leads you to a small island with Mewtwo.

Interact with Mewtwo, and you’ll have to defeat it in battle before you can attempt to capture it. After that’s done, exit Cerulean Cave.

Finding Green in Cerulean Cave

After exiting the cave, your rival will let you know that a trainer has entered the cave in search of Mewtwo as well. This is none other than Green, so head back inside and go to where you found Mewtwo. You’ll see Green there, and you can talk to her to start the fight.

In Pokemon Let’s Go, Green has a fully stacked party of six, and her Pokemon are all at level 66, so prepare well before challenging her. She has a Blastoise (in Mega form), Clefable, Kangaskhan, Gengar, Ninetales, and a Victreebel.

Her first five Pokemon aren’t too tough to deal with. Clefable and Kangaskhan are weak to Fighting Pokemon, Gengar is weak to Psychic and Ghost-types, Ninetales is weak to Water and Ground-types, while Victreebel is weak to Fire-types. Clefable and Victreebel are probably the most dangerous ones here, as they’ll attempt to put you to sleep or poison you, so be ready for that.

After getting through her team, Green will summon Mega Blastoise. It’s still weak to Electric and Grass-types, however, and if you have a Venusaur, you can trigger its Mega Evolution as well to end the fight quickly.

After beating Green, she’ll hand over the Mega Stones for Mewtwo.

That’s all you need to know about how to find and beat Green in Pokemon Let’s Go. Be sure to check our Pokemon Let’s Go guide wiki for more tips and information on the game. If you’re looking for more post-game content to dive into, we’ve got you covered as well.
