Fallout 76: How to Get Government Supply Drops & What They Do

How to Get Government Supply Drops and What They Do in Fallout 76

Recommended Videos

Supply Drops are one of the newest features introduced to the Fallout universe in Fallout 76. They are filled with tons of valuable items and can be called in via the use of government supply acquisition drop requests.

Simply acquiring a request isn’t all you’ll have to do though, as there are a few more steps involved. Here is everything you need to know about how to get government supply drops and what they do in Fallout 76.

How to Get Them

The first step in getting a supply drop is finding the item called US Government Supply Requisition.

These acquisition drops can be found a number of different ways, all of which are accomplished via scavenging and hoping to find one at random.

We were able to find multiple forms by defeating and looting Ghouls and Scorched throughout Appalachia. One US Government Supply Requisition form was even found after we searched through a mailbox.

Once you pick up the form, a quest will pop up titled “Request Government Air Drop”. It will add a new marker onto your map and task you with fixing a relay tower terminal.

How to Repair the Radio Terminals

For our quest marker, we were sent to Relay Tower HN-B1-12, located near Morgantown on the bottom right of the map.

Once you arrive at the tower, the marker will direct you to the emergency management system relay terminal. Click the emergency management option and it will ask you to choose a holotape to load. The only one that will fix it is the US Government Supply Requisition tape.

Once you choose the US Government Supply Requisition tape, a prompt will load asking you if you want to request an emergency air drop. The one-time verification code will be read and you’ll get a notification that a drop is inbound and that your tape has been removed.

Where to Find Them

Now that you’ve officially completed the “Request Government Air Drop” quest, a miscellaneous mission will load called “Get the supply drop”. In order to find its exact location, simply load your map.

In your map, you’ll find a small circular area, one that you need to search in order to find the drop. These areas will always be relatively close to the mission you just completed.

Once you reach the designated area, you’ll see a red flair indicating your drop’s location. Head over to the container and collect your rewards.

The contents of these government aid drops will vary between scraps, ammo, weapons, clothing, and other useful items.

That’s everything you need to know about how to get government supply drops and what they do in Fallout 76. For extra tips and help on the game, make sure to take a look at our Fallout 76 guide wiki. We’ve also put together a few other guides you might find helpful below.
