How Long Soul Chronicle Is in SoulCalibur VI
SoulCalibur VI brings the prolific fighting series back after a six-year hiatus, bringing a couple new mechanics and characters into the mix. On top of the typical multiplayer and arcade modes, SoulCalibur VI features two lengthy story campaigns. Libra of Souls is the first that has you creating your very own character, while Soul Chronicle has you playing through the stories of each of the SoulCalibur characters. Of course, if you’re jumping headfirst into the game’s story you’re no doubt wondering how long Soul Chronicle will take you. Here’s how long the Soul Chronicle story mode is and how many fights there are.
Soul Chronicle is broken up into a number of different stories. There’s a main story sequence, and one for each character in SoulCalibur VI as well. These sequences consist of short dialogue and story sequences mixed with fights. There are 20 episodes to the main story, and 13 fights mixed in. Most of these fights aren’t too challenging, but some of the later ones can get a little difficult. In total the main story should only take you a couple hours to clear.
Meanwhile, the characters stories in SoulCalibur VI differ in length and number of fights. For example, Seong mi-Na’s story has 7 episodes with six fights while Kilik’s has five episodes with five fights. In general, the character sequences can take roughly 20-30 minutes to complete each. This means you’re looking at least at two to three more hours, and at least four hours in total to clear Soul Chronicle. It should be noted that purchasing the DLC Pack 1 or Season Pass for SoulCalibur VI will also add Tira into the game, who gets her own story.
While Soul Chronicle isn’t egregiously long Libra of Souls, SoulCalibur VI’s other story mode, is substantially longer. In it you create your own character and venture around the world of SoulCalibur via a world map. There are plenty of main quests, side quests, and random fight to keep you busy for hours on end. The interesting part is that the story in Libra of Souls mixes in with events from Soul Chronicle to build one timeline for SoulCalibur VI.
