Where to Find the Trapper in Red Dead Redemption 2

The Trapper can be found in the bustling city of Saint Denis, which is located in the southeastern part of the map. When you first get into Red Dead Redemption 2, you’ll start around the northwestern side of the map, which means that you’ll need to travel quite a bit to get to Saint Denis, so be aware of that.

There’s a total of five Trappers in Red Dead Redemption 2 that can be found in the following places:

  • Saint Denis
  • Northeast of Emerald Station, west of Elysian Pool
  • Northeast of Riggs Station in West Elizabeth.
  • Northwest section of West Elizabeth. West of Big Valley, and southwest from Pronghorn Ranch.
  • Southwest of Blackwater

You can also check your map, press square (or X if you’re on Xbox One) to open the Index, then scroll all the way down to find the Trapper icon. You can then mark it as a waypoint, and you’ll have a highlighted path on your map to take you there directly.

What the Trapper Does in Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption 2’s Trapper can take any legendary pelts you get and turn them into special gear for Arthur to wear. There are four gear pieces for each outfit.

  • Bear Hunter
  • Trophy Buck
  • Dreamcatcher
  • Beast of Prey
  • Huntsman
  • Death Roll
  • Stalker
  • Ghost Bison
  • Rattler
  • Wrangler
  • Bronco Buster
  • Marauder
  • Bounty Hunter
  • Desperado
  • Night Wrangler
  • Mountain Man

As mentioned previously, the Trapper is the guy to go to if you’re into hunting Legendary Animals. These are some of the toughest critters you’ll find in the game, and they’ll reward you with legendary pelts.

We definitely recommend saving these pelts for this vendor, as they can be used to craft special outfits and other items. In addition to that, the Trapper also has rewards for you if you take the time to complete your hunting challenges, which can be checked from the main menu.

So, if you want to be a completionist in Red Dead Redemption 2 and hunt down all the Legendary Animals and get your unique outfits, the Trapper will be your best friend.
